Congratulations, you can eliminate 80% of your to-do list

by John McIntyre

Good news, kind sir (or good lady):

Today – you’ll discover why you can eliminate 80% of your to-do list (and why your future success DEPENDS on you doing so immediately).

First, take a look at your to-do list.

Don’t have a to-do list?

Please understand: if you don’t plan, you’re planning to fail. Before you continue with this email, go pick up a copy of Getting Things Done by David Allen.

It will save your life.

Now – back to your to-do list.

Guess what?

8 out of 10 things on your
to-do list don’t matter.

It’s highly probable that only 1 or 2 things REALLY matter in terms of you moving from point A to point B and hitting your goals.

So here’s the thing – if you can identify those 1 or 2 things that REALLY matter, you can eliminate everything else and still get the results you want.

But, you’ll hit your goals with far less effort and far more peace.

Sound good?

Let’s apply this to email marketing.

There are MILLIONS of things
you could focus on –

  • open rates
  • clicks
  • list building
  • paid ads
  • etc etc etc

But most of it doesn’t matter.

Here’s what DOES matter:

First, if you’re not building a list – start today.

Second, if you’re building a list but you’re not sending them anything (ie. no autoresponder and no broadcasts), start today.

Don’t make it perfect. Don’t wait for everything to be right.

The big win of email marketing is
communicating with your customers regularly… NOT sending the best god
damn emails on the planet.

Third, if you have a list and you’re sending emails, take a look at your overall strategy.

Who is your prospect?

What is your product and how does it solve the prospect’s problem?

Then, think about how you create emails that “build a bridge” from the prospect to the product.

Perfection is bullshit.

You don’t need to be a perfect writer.

You need to a) understand your prospect, b) understand your product, and c) send regular emails that connect the two.

THAT IS ALL.

DO NOT make it more complicated than it has to be.

You might not know it… but in this post, I’ve given you the keys to making a ton of money with email.

Most shit simply doesn’t matter.

Here’s what DOES matter:

  • empathy (understanding your prospect better than he understands himself, and how your product solves his problem)
  • regular emails (lots of average emails CRUSHES the occasional perfect email)
  • marketing mindset (sell like your life depends on it because you have en ETHICAL DUTY to get your problem-solving product into the hands of as many people as possible)

Your homework today: write an email to your list

Don’t argue. Just do it.

Don’t make it perfect.

In fact, leave a typo in your email… so you strat to get used to acting without perfection.

Yours imperfectly,

John, The Autoresponder Guy

P.S. Sometimes, it can be hard to know what tasks REALLY matter and what tasks can be eliminated.

Should you focus on research?

Or on improving your landing page?

Or on writing emails?

Should you improve existing emails?

Or write new emails?

Should you improve your existing product?

Or create a new product?

Or the million things you can focus on, what REALLY matters?

That’s where my VIP Coaching Program comes in: as a VIP Coaching client, I’ll help you identify the tasks that REALLY matter in your business and that will make a MASSIVE impact.
